Are you doing the large urn topiaries? They're stunning!

Post a picture when you're finished, I'd love to see it. Being my door is a nice blueberry blue - that would not look good on my house. (grin). But I'm envious!

I have that wall bucket and love it. You can use it any time of the year and it looks great. Unfortunately, they discontinued those urns. Such a bummer.

I love that cozy, fall look. Good luck with getting your front. By the way, the Twirly Twigs basket they have is a really great basket for fall. I have that on my front door now.

YES I am. I bought some urns last year in Occoquan, VA. I love them but haven't done anything with them yet. I loved the ones through SL (and I didn't realize they were discontinued because I was just at a party last month and they had them). I bought the grapevine trees on-line at http://www.rusticdecorating.com/grapevinetrees.html

Nutsy, my front door is Williamsburg blue and believe me it looks good!

Shell, I bought the Glorious Door Bucket and I love it! I also bought the Twirly Twigs Basket and put it on the back side of my front door (inside the house). It looks great and goes great w/my dining room and living room that you see when you enter the front door. It was on sale so even better! I remember Amandarella having it on the inside of her front door also so I guess I stole the idea from her! :)

I would have bought the front door mat too but the script is in green and that wouldn't have gone with my blue front door.

I just love the wood front door. It is such a pretty golden honey color (in the picture from SLAH).

I keep thinking about stuff that I want to add to my post! :D

I more excited about decorating it for Christmas time. I plan on changing the trees out for different holidays. The ones I got are pointy at the top but I fixed that to look more like the pictures by adding the stems & leaves so you don't see the points. The base fit perfectly in the urns that I had bought.

I had also thought about just taking various sizes of grapevine wreaths (which really looks more like what they did in the picture - at least to me) so I will see how the trees turn out and maybe buy some different size wreaths at Michael's and try that. Just stuff with the fruit, lights, leaves, etc. to fill in the holes. Those berries are sold everywhere now in 4' ropes in every color (down in Occoquan) but they really are not meant for the outdoors unless it is under an overhang or something. I got my pumpkins and goards (various sizes) a while back when I went apple picking.

This post comes at the perfect time. I've been thinking of a nice way to decorate the front porch and door for autumn, my favorite time of year. This picture is gorgeous, and I will be copying some ideas!
Good luck with your project - looking forward to seeing a picture of your door, Lisa! ~V.C.

Shell,
The Montgomery Urns are still available on Page 7 of the SLAH catalog. Hard to say if they will be in the Spring 06 Catalog. You can still order these for now for 109.95. They are not cheap!

You are probably thinking of the Editor's Choice Urns that were discontinued back in the Spring Catalog 2005.

These urns - Montgomery Urns (pg 7 Fall 2005 catalog priced at 109.95 each) - will actually be discontinued as of 12/31/05. Today is your lucky day, however, b/c they are part of a discontinued sale that starts 12/1/05! Call your consultant first thing tomorrow morning for info - the price list will be available at 9am. Act Fast - they will sell out!
