For those of you with young children:
What types of snacks do you buy when you have a babysitter? Most of the time I get a frozen pizza for the sitter and DS to share, but the last few times they don't eat it. I really like my new sitter and want her to continue to come and help us so I'd like to have "cool" snacks on hand. Everytime I wask her to sit I will ask, "What do you want me to have for you?" and she always says anything is fine. I am at a loss!

My DD is now at the age where she is the babysitter. She is on a no red meat kick again, so chicken nuggets that you can nuke, Cheese sticks that come frozen and you bake, or the string cheese sticks. Fruit smoothies. Frozen potato skins, are popular with her too. When some of her friends come over they head straight for the frozen corn dogs, and tater tots, or the single serving mac and cheese that you nuke. She sat for a friend of ours last night and remarked today when I picked her up, that they had all the "good stuff" to eat, in other words all the foods on her to eat list these days.

SD, I know what you mean. We don't have sitters very often because grandparents live within 30 minutes. But the times we do have paid sitters (usually in the daytime) they never eat. I don't know if they don't like what I have or they just don't eat much. In the evening I have picked up Little Ceasar's pizza because they sell them for $5 all the time in our town. It's not my choice, but kids seem to like them. It definitely needs to be something like that or the frozen pizza or else you're out an additional $20! I would maybe get some chips & queso and possibly some TGIF's frozen appetizers like cheese sticks, skins, chicken strips and see what she picks to fix and then you would know next time. My sitters tend to drink juice which surprised me. Hope this helps.

I don't have babysitters anymore, but when I did, I had hot dogs, rice crispy treats, chocolate chip cookies... We usually went out after supper, so it was just snacks, not a meal that we provided. They can't resist rice crispy treats and cookies!
