Antique/flea malls

i have a booth at a antique flea mall. when you go to a mall like that what are you looking for? this might help me to put things in my booth that people would really be interested in. when i am in there, i see men going through it alone or with there wifes, i stop and ask them what they are looking for. my booth has a lot of different things in it.

I love to browse in antique malls & flea markets. I always have these things on my list:

Fire King
McCoy flower pots
Books
Decorative objects for the home

On the rare occasion when my husband accompanies me he likes to look at sports memorabilia, hunting type things and NASCAR stuff.

Sterling and also silver plate containers are items I love to find if they are priced to sell!

I look for all sorts of stuff -- sometimes Fiestaware or Harlequinware and I used to buy Roseville (mostly too $$ now) -- any furniture, especially small items like hanging shelves or something cute or different -- containers of various kinds (wood, basketry) -- anything kitchen-related -- glass insulators -- old linens -- old juice glasses and cookie cutters -- lately DH and I like to look at salt and pepper shakers -- he likes to look at old postcards and sports cards -- you name it, I've probably looked at it and bought it at a flea market or antique mall!

I guess our answers are as varied as our tastes!

green depression glass - (Ballerina, patrician, georgian lovebirds!!) anything apple green and gorgeous!!! Also love old Homer Laughlin Bowls! (clover leaf - green and blue ones & Homer Laughlin Bluebird China) (I can find them on ebay sometimes - they are not expensive really, but I think they have sooo much charm!! I also like old milk pitchers, old embroidery work, silverplate, old pretty crochet and quilts! There is a new antique mall that opened up here (pack some heat when you go) BUT, they really have some BEAUTIFUL old lines!!!! They also mix in some new with some old, but, I don't mind that - I just act like I don't know!
When I was doing so many shows, I made "Teacup Daffodils" They are antique china, old silverplate spoons. I will have to see if I can find a picture to post! They were fun!

wow, great info you guys. thanks. i try to price my things very reasonable. there are some dealers that price there items so high that they have been there till day one,(over a year) i don't really deal in glassware because so many of the dealers have that, so the compitition is so high. the mall i have my booth in is in a great place. it's 1/2 mile off I20 in leeds, in the old walmart bldg. so it's quite large. we get travalers from all over stopping in, even 18 wheelers. so it's always buisy. but the summer is a slow time for us because everyone is outdoors and on vacation.

I love browsing flea markets/antique stores...I love OLD photographs, especially of children :) And whatever else catches my eye ;)

I like old linens and embroidery- especially handkerchiefs and table cloths, aprons, teacups and teapots and cookbooks. DH likes looking for old radios and men's razors. My mama loves looking for brass and old silver pieces of all sorts.
