Hey Y'all,

I've been looking for a thread on this, and if there is one, I've missed it...if I'm duplicating, I apologize! As we head into Thanksgiving, I thought it might be nice to share a word or two about what we're giving thanks for this year. I'll start...I've got so many blessings to count - truly 'a gracious plenty' and probably far more than I rightfully deserve! - but here are a few highlights...

I'm thankful for:

*my DH - who is one of the most loving and noble human beings I've ever known - and who inspires me to 'aim higher' than if I were left to my own devices :eek: ;
*my three healthy children - who teach me more each day about life than I could ever teach them in a lifetime :);
*my friends - who know me & love me anyway, and who keep me from getting lonely in my crazy little world :cool:; and finally,
*my vices - including chocolate and the occasional not-so-tiny glass(es) of giddy-juice, AND the fact that they are completely legal and only mildly habit-forming! :rolleyes:

How about y'all? I'd love to know...Oh, and THANKS for reading!

I'm thankful for my family. I'm thankful my job didn't have another rif and I still have a job. I'm thankful for living in a free country - God Bless America.

Another great topic....I am thankful for....

~My wonderful and loving husband, Scott (my everything)
~Max, our pooch, the light of our life
~Our always supportive friends and family
~The success of our business, having been able to kepe everything afloat the past two years since we took over
~My "real" job, which provides me income and health benefits
~Our few and far between, and often small but much appreciated good fortunes.
~Our good health, mentally and physically :D
~Our personal strength that will get us through anything
~Our county and the men and women who protect it
~All of our public servants, such as doctors and police officers
~Our Veterans, for their past dedication to our country
~God, while we're not as close as we could be, for looking out for us
~My guardian angels, who guide me through life and protect me
~And many, many more things that I have forgotten to mention

* My sweet, wonderful girl--the light of my life

* DH (even though I could wring his neck sometimes)

* My family

* My friends--I don't have a huge circle of friends, but I have close, good, true friends

* The fact that I was brought up in a Christian home

* My country and the people who have fought over the years to keep us free

* My home--I look out the windows sometimes and can't believe how blessed I am to have such beautiful surroundings. Three of the homes in my cul-de-sac are vacation/weekend homes and I get to LIVE there year-round! How cool is that?

* The simplicity of my life. I was reading a thread on another BB about how hectic some of their lives are and their 1 1/2-hour-one-way commutes and marathon work hours and crazy schedules. My life may seem simple and unexciting to some, but I cherish my 15-minute (IF I catch all the red lights) commute and my uncomplicated life.
