I have a delicious pie recipe for cooked choc pie that uses flour. Sometimes pie does not set enough and is sticky. Is cornstarch better? Any suggestions?

I like to use cornstarch rather than flour. It seems to thicken better and also when it cooks it is clear.

I use cornstarch too Rolline. The first thing I would do is check my oven. I started having trouble with my oven before Christmas last year. The temperatures were fluctuating and I didn't know it. If I were you I would get an oven thermometer and check my oven. Put it where you can see it through the oven door and see if it is holding the temperature. I've had so much trouble with my oven and now it is out completely. When someone says something didn't come out right that is always the first thing I think of now. Good luck.
