Deli Sandwich!

Have you ever tried make your own deli sandwich for lunch?? I meant the real deli restaurant style!

DH owned a deli in Brooklyn in a previous life, inherited from his father who was a kosher butcher. He makes THE BEST sandwiches and salads in the universe. My favorite is the whitefish salad on a poppy seed bagel. He even makes his own whitefish salad. Yummy!

Yep! Love deli sandwiches...so does DS. Just pile it on.

I worked in a deli when I was in high school in NY. They aren't hard to make as long as you have all the ingredients that you like.

I'm not sure exactly what the definition of a deli sandwich and how it differs from a regular sandwich - nevertheless - two sandwiches that I make that I love, love, love are ham and swiss on fresh french bread with lettuce, tomato and mayo and I make Italian subs using ham, pepperoni and salomi on a sub roll with a bottled oil and vinegar mix and same veggies. I toast or broil both of these sandwiches so their nice and warm. Yum-o!!!

I also ever worked at Deli mari' and I hate when I had to slice those big chunk of deli meat lol!
mmm.. I agree with Angela, I also like nice and warm deli sandwich like the one that I had couple days ago for lunch, it's from Deli Creations. It was very convenient because it's only took less than a minute to heat it up. Does anyone ever tried this Deli Creations sandwich?

Joy - I get those all the time for my husband to eat at work. I like them too but haven't gotten any for me at lunch since July. I like the one with Roast Beef and Cheddar with the steak sauce best - reminds me of an Arby's beef and cheddar. I like the wrap ones better though, but my husband prefers the subs.

We love to make our own subs. on good French bread. I buy deli roast beef, ham, turkey or chicken, some good cheese, etc. Then I have lettuce, tomato, sliced onion, condiments, etc. YUM!

Angela ~ I like the Steakhouse cheddar too.. actually that's my favorite one :)
I like the wraps especially when I'm watching my calories counts, they're only 350 calories. I believe your DH like the subs cuz it's very simple to prepare, you know how mens sometime being ignorant about what they're eating.. :p. they're both subs and flatbreads are good and satisfying and you should got one of the sandwich for your self soon.. ;)
