Yesterday, I had a taste for hot wings, but I was tired and I sure didn't want to fry any chicken wings. So I ran by the grocery on the way home and picked up some plain, already fried wings in the deli and bought some Hooters Wing Sauce and "Volia" I had my wings in a flash. They were good.

Another thing I have done in a pinch (and less mess) is use chicken nuggets - yeah, the kind you can just pop in the micro, with Texas Pete Wing sauce! Grab a couple of celery sticks, blue cheese dressing and it is a quick "wing" fix!

Kwhite, without an edit button I realized I said "with less mess" and it sounded, ah...hmm?...I didn't mean less mess than your method I mean less mess than wings in general because the nuggest are bone free and can be cut up! Sorry for sounding so crabby!

I knew what you were saying - making wings is a huge mess (for me anyway) and I had much rather go to Hooters!

Everyone probably knows this 'easy idea to share.'

Whenever I see a recipe which calls for cooked chicken (diced chicken, etc.) I buy a preroasted chicken in the grocery store deli/bakery dept. (A little more $$, but it saves time, and also can use dark meat as well.) :)

What a great quickie! Sweets Lover (I'm one too), your idea is wonderful. When our Harris Teeter has them on sale I buy several to keep in the freezer. They are a time saver and so versatile - makes the best chicken and pastry.

I am embarrassed to say I never considered freezing those. That is a great idea, especially if you can get them on sale.

How do you freeze them? Do you remove the meat and freeze or do you wrap and freeze whole?

Have ya'll tried the bbq chicken chunks from Walmart's deli? They are really good. The hot wings arent' bad either, but a little too spicy for me. Give them a try.

Lilymac, that is such a good idea. I've never thought of freezing those chickens. But, I almost always buy them for any recipes calling for cooked chicken. They're just so good!!

Here's an easy tip that we LOVE! When ever you are grilling burgers, grill a double or triple portion and freeze the extras. You can pop the frozen grilled burger in the microwave for a few seconds and it comes out tasting like it is right off the grill. Perfect for rushed week nights.
