Anyone read MARCH by Geraldine Brooks?

I just bought March yesterday - has anyone read it?

DH is reading it now. I tried it and to be honest the African-American
dialect was more than I could handle at the time. Understand it's supposed
to be a good read but at the time just didn't have the patience. I don't
mean any disrespect here but it just made it difficult to read. At least
for me at the time. Anyway, so far, DH is enjoying it.

Just talked to DH about the book. He says I should have read further
because that's just a short portion in the beginning. He says it's a very
good read.
