Hi Guys
I hadn't cross stitch in years
Now my dd has her own apartment and would like me to cross stitch
(from her email) BIG cross-stich of a pineapple with welcome above it and my last name below it

Has anyone seen anything like this if so do you know where I could get the material to make it.

Just as I was trying to learn how to knitt :)

Thanks
Deb

try Michael's for the material needed or JoAnn's or ACMoore .. I just did a mini search, try google and ask for free patterns for pineapple welcome designs.. and that way you can down load them for free.. and start tomorrow! Good luck.

Psst.. I use my machine to do the cross stitch now.. and I've got oodles of supplies for hand stitch left.. some day I'll ebay all of it.

Thanks so much for the leg work, I hadn't had time yet. This will help me out alot.

No way you can cross stitch on your machine I should have you to do it LOL :D

Again Thanks
Deb

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y31/OliviaBrea/PossumberryFarms/daisybasket.pngok, so this is what a machine can do.. I love the results. I cut the photo down, this daisy basket was done on a flour 'sack' towel that's just perfect for this delicate design. The towel is very large and makes a perfect tea towel or great hostess gift.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y31/OliviaBrea/PossumberryFarms/fresheggs.png this one is called .. "fresh eggs".. hmmm wonder why? The Carolina Leghorn is perfect coming from my farm.. it too is on a flour 'sack' towel and really shows off the colors well. I also have another towel that I haven't sized in psp yet.. (still relearning the program.. ) However, I do happen to have some hats!!

ok, this hat is called: 'Ms Teddy Nibbles Watermelon'.. the photo is large, sorry.. and yet you can see the work. It fits heads from children to adults.. and who doesnt' need a hat in the south?

This shot is a close up of a hat which was done in 'Miss Teddy Loves Sunflowers'. Note the lil' lady bug on her costume.. was a pleasure to make this. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y31/OliviaBrea/PossumberryFarms/Sunflowerteddycloseupframed.jpg

I just want to say that I think you will find cross stitching with a needle a lot easier than cross stitiching with a pineapple :D

The things pictured are lovely! Kind of makes me want to get into it again, but I'll take a little rest til the feeling passes...
