Well, we finally got a new baby in the house! :D We got an 8 week old Pekapoo. My neighbor has always had pekapoos and loves them. She says they are very loving and sweet and good with her kids. (same age as mine) We all are completely in love with this little dog. It has been YEARS since I've had a puppy. Our last dog (yorkie) was 1 year old when we got him. He was with us for the next 13 years.
Any advice on having a pekapoo or just general advice on puppies?
Last summer, we had our first puppy in 13 years~I had forgotten how puppies love to chew, chew, and chew! So, I'd suggest a big ole' bottle of Bitter Apple spray!
Congratulations on your new "baby" :D and good luck!

I am so happy for you and your family. It is great to have the "click click" of puppy toes going through the house.
I have no advice because each dog is different but I'll admit at first it is really hard work but so worth it :)

Congratulations Muscadine! Don't you just love puppy breath! The first thing I thought of was hide the good stuff they will chew the tar out of it. A friend of mine has a pekapoo and when I go over wearing sandals I have to make sure I tuck my feet under me or he will sit there and try to lick my toes all night long - ICK!

:D I think Nature's Miracle is the best thing since sliced bread...AND...try the Bitter Apple creme also!!
Peeing/pooping and biting/chewing/gnawing are a new puppies reasons to live!! Be prepared! Nature's Miracle will absolutely neutralize lingering puppy or adult dog odors. As long as a dog can get a whiff of a previous faux pas they're going to consider it an invitation to go on the same spot again.
I'm so envious of a new puppy in the house. Rosebud is the only one of my three I've raised since puppyhood and I love that stage of a pet's life. Sometimes we laugh through our tears but it's a lot of fun teaching a new puppy.
Congratulations!

Thanks for the advice! I will get some Nature's Miracle today. Max is so funny. My DH can't walk across the room without him attacking his pant leg!
