Does anyone quill? I just started this week and think I am going to love it. I may use it to personalize gifts but I really want to do a few as art pieces to hang in my home.

I saw that in a MS mag a while back. It looks beautiful. Is it hard to do?

There's a name for it! My SIL has this wonderful piece in an abstract pattern. It has really vivid colors. I took pictures of it on our last visit with the idea of creating a huge piece of art for our playroom wall. I googled "quilling", and now I am hooked on learning! Hmmm!

I thought the art of quilling had died! I loved doing it when I was in high school (late '70s). My aunt introduced me to it. She always won blue ribbons at the Kentucky State Fair!!! Pretty stuff. I mainly made little personal gifts for relatives and friends. Would love to find some neat new pattern books.

My mother did a ton of this back in the late 70s early 80s. She did beautiful work.

It doesn't seem difficult, just time consuming as it's small tedious work. But that's my kind of fun. lol

Enjoy!
