Rachael Ray Mag

I posted a thread several weeks ago saying that I had registered for two free issues of Every Day with Rachael Ray. I finally received the first issue and I have to say I'm not that crazy about it. I don't have much of an opinion one way or the other about Rachael Ray, although I do like "$40 A Day." But in the magazine you can really tell that she's trying to "brand" herself like Martha Stewart or Emeril. It's okay, but not something I would pay to subscribe to.

I too enjoy "$40 a day" but her other shows are not my favorites. I think all the food network stars are trying to brand themselves a little too much these days. I still enjoy watching them. I glanced through some of rachel ray's stuff at the store last wek but I never use her recipes.

Has anyone seen the commercials for her new show? I don't know what kind of show it's going to be, but it is going to be on NBC (here, at least).

Her new show is going to be a talk show and her backer is Oprah Winfrey. I used to enjoy her but I think that she's believing her publicity about being "bubbly, bouncy, etc. and she's become a bit much. I don't know why she's wearing such long scraggly hair......in most professional kitchens I don't think that would be too acceptable. I like her natural presence and her enthusiasm but it needs to be turned down a bit.
