To celebrate the changing of the seasons the SLBB will be having a FALL SWAP!!!!
HERE ARE THE GUIDELINES FOR THE 2006 SLBB FALL SWAP. PLEASE READ THEM CAREFULLY BEFORE DECIDING TO PARTICIPATE. My thanks to jhiggins who organized the 2005 Fall Swap as I have borrowed from your guidelines you set up at that time.
1. SIGN UP BEGINS TODAY AND RUNS UNTIL MIDNIGHT, FRIDAY, SEPT. 22nd –
Please do not sign up if you think there is a chance that you:
a) will forget to check back and find out who your partner is OR...
b) will be too busy to get your box in the mail on time.
2. YOU MUST BE WILLING TO SWAP WITH WHOEVER IS ASSIGNED TO BE YOUR PARTNER.
Please do not ask me to not pair you with someone - trust me - it only causes problems. It is unlikely that you will be assigned to someone you have previously swapped with, but if you are, please be a good sport. To keep this FUN and eliminating hurt feelings, no partner switching.
3. SWAP PARTNERS WILL BE POSTED ON MONDAY, SEPT. 25th.
You must contact your swap partner no later than the end of the day Tuesday, Sept. 26th. If you fail to contact your partner, you will be dropped from the swap and your partner will be paired with someone else on the morning of the 27th.
4. MAIL YOUR PACKAGES NO LATER THAN OCTOBER 14th.
That gives you three weekends to shop. It is simply not fair when you do not get your packages mailed on time and people are left wondering if and when their package will arrive. Please, no excuses for being late, mail your packages on time!
5. WHAT TO SEND?
You may send any fall items in your box.
6. HOW MUCH TO SPEND?
That's up to you...in the interest of making this so that everyone feels like they can participate - I would suggest $15 or less. If you want to send more, that's fine - just don't be upset if the amount is not reciprocated - many people have tight budgets. It's the thought that goes into the box that counts. Feel free to also include things that don't cost anything (or cost almost nothing) - favorite fall recipes, handmade crafts, etc.
7. HOW DO I SIGN UP?
As we have no PM ability sign up will be much different than in times past. If you, after having read through all the guidelines, have decided to participate you will need to send me an email. This email should include your full name, address (P.O. Boxes should be fine), and a few details as to what you like or don’t like. For example: If you don’t celebrate Halloween and would NOT like to receive items of this nature – LET ME KNOW! If you collect something specific – LET ME KNOW! I will forward your information to ONLY your swap partner. Upon receipt of your swap partners information you MUST contact them.
8. WHAT IF I DON'T HEAR FROM MY SWAP PARTNER?
I have given everyone ample time to contact their partner. If you have NOT heard from your swap partner please send me an email as soon as possible. I will, upon receipt of your email, match you up with someone else so that you are still able to participate.
9. EMAIL ADDRESS TO SIGN UP.
I have created a brand new email address specifically for this SLBB swap. To sign up – send me an email with the information given above at luvmyhunny1@hotmail.com This is the ONLY email address I will use for swap partners.
