I am knitting a shawl for dh's grandmother for Christmas. I hope to finish it this week. The yarn is Lion's Homespun and it has beautiful colors. Purple, reds, greens, orange. It is looking really nice.
Are any of you making any presents?

since I sew, knit and do other crafts.. of course I'll be making gifts.. besides, Christmas is more so nicer when homemade jam and cookies arrived on my doorstep.

My DD's 7 & 5 enjoy helping make Christmas gifts. Last year we made scented bath salts for their teachers and since we're at a new school this year I'm sure we'll do it again. It is pretty inexpensive and can make a bunch.
My family also loves handmade treats but my DH's family doesn't. They like them store bought and EXPENSIVE. It's ridiculous and something we disagree highly on..........

Just started a scarf today that is an intended gift...depending on how fast I knit, the whole crew may get crafty gifts...we'll just have to see!

I am this year. Went Hobby Lobby and got like 5 yards of material for $3. I found some with horses and a southwest theme and some with horse and mountians with the American flag so I'm making my husband and daughter blankets and pillows for Christmas...........(they better like'um LOL  )
