This has been a week. Dad didn't go camping, but we did ride to Chattanooga. I drove so I went backroads. Stay on top of Lookout Mountian just about the whole way. Since I drove I wasn't able to get pictures, but Ladies, let me tell you....it was BEAUTIFUL!!!! Colors seems brighter this year. Even saw colors I haven't seen. Now I'm getting ready to head to the lake. Some friends are going with us. They were just married in May and she has never been camping. Well not like we go anyway. She has been with the church where they stay in a big building with bunkbeds.....the whole 'summer camp' kinda thing. So,even though we're in a travel trailer with lights,water,sewer........we're still in the woods with wild animals. We've seen deer,racoons,possums,skunks,coyotes even wolves. There are normally quite a few people inside the campground the coyotes and wolves stay out. I'm making a big pot of chili to take. The lows will be in the 40's but on the lake it'll be cooler. DH's says he's going to get some firewood.
Well guess I better get to cooking and packing!!!!

Angel, have fun! I'm sure you will.
I'm sitting here alone (well, webots is here!  ) and I'm drinking that hot chocolate...lifting a big cup to the Cpt. and to ILTS since she brought the crockpot out here! Thanks to Cpt. for the recipe and to ILTS for the actual "stuff!"
Its nice out here...quiet, full moon, cool....actually cold now. Wish I could sit with Ozsmom by that wood stove.
Nora, I see you finally made it back! Where have you been? What tables have you been dancing on?
OK, its tomorrow already. I had not planned to be up past midnight. There is always that threat of finding another pumpkin....

Good morning to all !!! MA,you were here late, hope you got a good nights sleep in your own bed.You are definitely right about being thankful for what we have here in the sun room.Our united Prayer Warriors are our strength!!
I have about spent the night watching the horrible news regarding Ft.Hood Army post.I was amazed when the shooters cousin said he(the shooter) was a good American..???
Magenta-where are you and how is your leg?
Maryc--when do you start on your new job..prayers that the transition will be an easy one.
Nora--are you feeling better?
Angel--enjoy your weekend,be safe.

We've finished raking all the leaves we're going to rake today. The rest of the day is mine!! I do enjoy raking but I have some things I have to catch up...
mcdev, I agree with your thoughts on the shooter at Ft. Hood. Why on earth did he have to kill and wound innocent people?
Time for lunch...hope you all have a great day and if I don't get back out here, have a great weekend. We're going to help Meredith and family get some furniture from our parents home. Hadn't planned to go back but this will help them and it will give us a chance to check on Dad and his situation (he says he is enjoying it) while we're there.
(Not to mention it will give us a chance to see the grandchildren!)

I did see Cpt.'s name but she didn't come by here to visit.
Y'all have a great day and enjoy life. We have kids and grands coming by later and I need to make a 'nanner pudding. Our grands love their 'nanner pudding!

I'm ready for the weekend here. And a beautiful one it's supposed to be! What do y'all have planned?
I just stopped by to grab my crock pot. I'll bring some peppermint schnapps next time I bring the hot chocolate. That should get the party started!
