so, since kimberly clark is having "a bailout" of their own with the Room A Day giveaway. for those of us who aren't getting a bailout at home - what have you guys been doing to decorate the house in these tough economic times? any tips or advice?

Recycling! Using old things in a new way and looking in my yard for things to use - kind of like bring the outside in!

I love using live plants in the house. Lots of times, I take cuttings from my plants and root them to make more. If you don't have plants, sometimes friends are willing to let you take cuttings of theirs.

I'm also getting ready to paint a rustic/country french kind of sign for my kitchen that says Bon Apetite, Y'all.

I love this thread. Thanks for starting it. I look forward to seeing everyone's ideas.

You can buy a package of 10 a lot cheaper then they are at Lowes
