Default Buying Bed Pillows.

I hate to purchase new pillows for our bed, but we are in need. I'm going shopping tomorrow and will make an attempt to find suitable ones. Do you all have any tips about finding just the right ones? TKS.

Hey doll, I'm with ya! We have to be in dire need before I buy pillows. I always think if I buy one that I really like I'll go back and buy two more, but then I don't. Have to go through the whole ordeal of finding just the right one the next time we are in need. I'm a slow learner!

I just bought some new ones - the latex foam pillows and although they are pillows I never thought I would buy, I am loving them. I tried them when I was at the Original Mattress Company looking for a new mattress. Theirs were very expensive so I bought some cheaper ones at Walmart and I think they are my new favorite pillows. I was having neck problems and they have really helped. These are not the memory foam pillows, btw.

So glad to read this post. We need new pillows, too. I never know what to buy. Glad to hear you found some at WM. I will check there tomorrow since I have other items to buy as well.

I'm going to Wally World tomorrow for candy----see the Halloween candy thread!---and I'm going to check the pillows also. I might buy one and see how I like it and then go back and buy another one. Thanks magenta.

I'm so glad to see this thread. We need pillows also and I do hate to buy them. I'm going to take magenta's advice and see what I can find. I guess a pillow is sort of like a blankie....you never want to give up your old one even when you need to!

Thanks for that, Charley! It looks like the latex foam pillows are on sale there right now too. I would like to get a thicker one as the ones I have are perfect for back-sleepers but when I sleep on my side I use two of them. Walmart was also out of the king sized pillows when I bought mine and I would love to have some kings. I use about eight pillows on my bed (for reading/watching tv) and then move most when we turn the lights out. So I can replace a couple more while they're on sale.

My 68 year old feather pillow my G Momma made for me is still my "blankie"
I don't use a pillow but that pillow is on my bed with the original pillowcase that has a six inch crotched border on is. How great is that ?

I'm back from Wal-Mart with a pillow (and candy!). Tune in tomorrow to see if I go back for the second one!
