Default What's for dinner, Friday 11-27-09?

Good morning to all who make it here today! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving full of memories and blessings. It is rather chilly here in Bama but a gorgeous, gorgeous day. It is a special day here in Bama as the Alabama - Auburn game is today and seems like everyone I know is making plans for watching the game or tailgating. We'll be staying home but plan appetizers using left over turkey (buffalo turkey dip and turkey spread with veggies) and then have some turkey soup and crusty bread for those more hungry. Pumpkin pie and fresh fruit with pumpkin dip and cranberry spread for those with a sweet tooth! Anyone else "reheating" or "recycling" left overs ?? Hope you all have a very blessed day

I'm heating up the dressing, shredding some of the turkey, heating it up in a skillet (cast-iron) with some BBQ sauce. DH will have a sandwich with some chips I'll have dressing with mine!

Alabama V. Auburn?

I'm a Tennessee boy. Just who am I supposed to be rooting for in that one?

Dinner here tonight is going to be leftovers. I MIGHT make some more mashed potatoes and heat up a can of beans, but other than that, it's all leftovers.

Using the leftover turkey as BBQ is an interesting idea. I've never done it before, but I've been thinking about it this year.

So with that said with all the babbling hope your special day w/friends and family was a good one, mine was very FULFILLING, like stuffed...lol

We are having my "traditional day after casserole" -- I look forward to it every year. I may be the only one who cares for it but: Ham & Turkey casserole. I'll make a salad and DS#3 wants to learn biscuits, so I'll wait til he gets home and I'll give him a lesson. I am worn out from the laundry and the taking down of Thanksgiving/Fall and putting up of the Christmas. So, to all: A good night.
